Kids Standard is a non-profit publication that gives students a platform to have a voice.

After school activities are becoming the new significant dosage of learning to the young students.

The more extra circular activities students participate in ranging from K-12, can benefit them in different categories.

Children are shown to be more involved in school and achieve better grades if they further enhance themselves outside of school.

Youth.gov states that a “national evaluation found over 4-% of students attending 21st Century Community Learning Center programs improved their reading and math grades,” (Naftzger).

With better grades, students will gain more confidence, higher self-esteem and motivation to continue to succeed.

Students are given the opportunity to excel outside of the classroom with these activities. It helps students improve their time management skills and use the best of their time.

After-school programs can help students discover a passion they have that they couldn’t realize in the classroom.

With the variety of programs, kids have the chance to explore the different opportunities they can excel in.

These activities can bring light into a child’s life where they didn’t know they possessed a talent.

In the Kids Standard Publication, a metro Detroit non-profit organization, gives the children a voice in their magazine.

Students ranging from K-12 can write creatively and improve their writing skills as they work toward getting published.

Kids Standard shows the children that their voice can be heard and like anything, with constant work is rewarded.

Many after school activities teach students values that can be carried onto the classroom to improve their academia.

Kids create friendships and build their confidence working in smaller groups than in class. They adapt key learning skills such as teamwork and communication.

When children apply themselves outside of school is when they push themselves to discover something new.
